The Main Entry to Eastlake

Valley Rain recently completed the Eastlake Park Project, a community park in downtown Phoenix originally constructed in the late 1800’s. The project consists of an entire overhaul where the only feature untouched was a recently-installed baseball field. Coordination was vital since Valley Rain was working concurrently with other renovation projects on the site.

The City of Phoenix kept true to its mission of densifying the urban tree canopy by building around existing old growth trees and transplanting existing trees where possible.  Over one hundred new trees were added to the site.

The project also included selective demolition, site grading, a network of new pathways, nearly 1000 feet of decorative seat walls, small retaining walls, entry monuments, CMU walls with brick veneer and cast-in-place wall caps, tot lots, an artistic aquatic mural wall, amphitheater seating, retention basins, parking lots, driveways, site lighting, solar system, ramada’s, ADA ramps, post-tensioned concrete basketball courts, drainage systems, decorative security fencing and site furnishings.
